The Boichemical plant of Kirov is the world’s leader of bioenergy. It was founded in 1973 as the largest plant of microbiological industries producing fodder’s yeast from hydrolysis of waste wood sawing and woodworking. At present it is the only plant of hydrolytic profile in the world, heading by the candidate of Ecological Science, the honourary chemist, the honourary worker of the forest industry Pateleyev D.N. This enterprise occupies an area of 52 hectares; the number of employees is more than 800 people. Todaythe Boichemical plant of Kirov became the central link of forming bioenergy’s complex in Russia, which is leading by the Federal Center of Development of bioenergy. The research centers, companies and organizations, which are introducing in the exploitation of biotechnology projects successfully, work interconnected. 1 Under conditions of the aggravated ecological disasters associating with the change of climate the Boichemical plant offers a cost-effective scheme of producing methane by hydrogenation of carbonic acid. As a result excess carbonic acid doesn’t release into the air, but becomes a raw material for new fuel resources. The necessary hydrogen for utilization of carbonic acid is producing at the Boichemical plant on an industrial scale with the electrolysis of water. The hydrogen itself is also a promising and ecological fuel. One such of resources is hydrogen. Our industrial works is capable of commercially producing hydrogen, which can be used as fuel for various classes of transport and technology, as well as for the hydrogenation of carbonic acid. Today the task is the introduction in the practice of promising, clean, ecological friendly hydrogen fuel on a large scale.
At the Boichemical plant of Kirov the innovative technology of anaerobic treatment of industrial effluents by digestion with biogas, which successfully replace natural gas in the boiler room. Today, we are the only ones in Russia, who makes friendly fuel from sawdust of environmentally, which corresponds to standards of Europa.
The biofuel of the standard E-85 is producing at the plant since 2007. All conducted during this time tests of the motor transports showed excellent results. It developed STO for this class of fuel STO11605031-033-2009. Side by side with the production of biofuels of motor transport by adding into petrol fuel ethanol, the Boichemical plant produces a new environmentally friendly fuel out of wood pellets, which has emissivity as the coal. Also the production of disinfectant broad-spectrum safety for animals and humans "Bioperit-detox" is starting, which is designing for air disinfection, surfaces and sanitary equipment in the infectious foci. 2 The Boichemical plant of Kirov is able to significantly increase the current production of fodder’s yeast, and to bring them up to 60 thousand tons per year. This could prevent the expansion of poorly known and potentially dangerous genetically modified foods and, preserve the health of the nation. 3 The production of xylitol at the plant can be an essential step of the implementation of the federal program for the production of food products’ import. In Russia, as well as Western Europe and the U.S. there is the problem of obesity people and diabetics. They need sweeteners. The Boichemical plant of Kirov is the only hydrolytic’s plants in the country, which has all the necessary equipment and modern technologies for industrial production of ecological substitute for sugar - xylitol. 4 Under conditions of dwindling reserves and the ecological crisis the industrial application of biotechnology, which founded on renewable sources of non-food raw materials, has enormous economic potential. Today the plant is working at the production of bioethanol using thermophilic bacteria. Within the limits of the program BII and programs LCP work scientists (7 people), which formerly occupied by the defense developments, at the issue of introduction of enzymatic hydrolysis of wood. In the end, with great conversion rates from plant biomass are obtained biological components of the second and third generation - a mixture of higher alcohols and biological hydrocarbons. 5 The ranges of wood waste, which created for serve the production, simultaneously decide important environmental problems. Today, they are exported for processing at the Boichemical plant , and all this huge mountain of waste will disappear literally within a month. Then they will move to other parts of the field, will be engaged in ecology there.
At the Boichemical plant of Kirov have been developed successfully biotechnology of the production of energy efficiency, which will become the basis of energy future. The plant has all necessary industrial equipment , and new innovative technologies and in the near future it leads its own energy potential of 5 megawatts.
